How to Take Stunning Group Fashion Photography
Working with a group is a lot different than working with just one person. Add in the dimension of fashion and you’re suddenly in a completely different world. I loved working with groups of models for a recent group fashion photography shoot that we did a few weeks ago. Learning how to pose the models was one of the most difficult parts so here are some tips I learned from that shoot:
- Create poses that provide unity and variety between the models.
- Remember to showcase the fashion.
- Don’t make the models do any engagement-style poses.
- Tell a story with your posing, the fashion, and the models.
These images were all taken with auxiliary lighting. The first two used speed lights with flash benders, the last was a light painting. All edits were done in Photoshop and included skin retouching and camera raw adjustments.
